Mumbai Marathon 2010

I haven't registered for mumbai marathon as a protest to the rising registration fee of Rs 500/- for the Marathon and half marathon. For an event like Mumbai marathon a registration fee of Rs 500/- is commercialisation of the event, yes its true that there would be registrations even if it were to be Rs 1500/- but does it need to get that expensive, despite all what is there,This is an event which has importance today as a cultural event of mumbai, and its the runners who make it happen so runners should not be taxed so much.

I have decided to run the IIT Kanpur Golden Jubilee 50Km Ultra Marathon.

Jan 10th

I had been there to the Mumbai Marathon Expo 2010.
This year the speciality was  Vertical infinity

Ventical Infinity is a motorised  climbing wall whose slope can be altered ie below 90 degree or above 90 degree which is like clinging on to the slope while

climbing.

There was also a stall while distributed the leaflets of comrades marathon
Apparently the stall was put up by amit sheth who has already done a comrades marathon and he already has 11 people this year.Registrations are open for 2011.

Hi Zanil,
I think you are not absolutell right because the organizers need funds for the organization of the event. But I do think that a fee of Rs.500 is a bit more. Something like 100 or 200 is ok.
But I say that you must participate in such programs.
